30 October 2018 - The tripanionship of Cheyenne dissolves and I'm having a son

Helloooooooo everyone!!

So first off, important info before I get into how my week went. Tomorrow is transfer day and we figured out where we are going/who we are with on Saturday. I'M STAYING IN CHEYENE. I'm so happy, there are people here I don't want to leave yet. ALSO I don't exactly know who my knew companion is yet....because he's a new missionary. Apparently I'm training a new missionary....im going to be a dad!! So that's exciting, I'm driving down to Windsor tonight to meet him.

Last Wednesday went well. Best part of the day was when we went tracting. We went knocking doors in a trailer park for just a little while, didn't even finish a street and we got 2 return appointments. That never happens it was awesome!

On Thursday we had district council, and afterwards an old couple offered to feed us lunch. So we went over and they made us burgers and shakes....im getting fat to prepare for the winter :). That night we also had a GREAT lesson with Mei (recently got baptized) and Jenny. They're the best! We were able to set a date for Jenny to be baptized and I'm super happy for them, and happy that they have the gospel now in their lives.

Friday was fun, we were doing service at the Old west museum like usual, and a guy there names Izel invited us over for dinner. We already had dinner planned that night, but we went over anyway so we could share a message with him as well. That night we had a lesson with a part member/less active family. They are super sweet and we basically all shared who Jesus Christ is to us. The non member is from Columbia so her English is limited. But she simply shared that Jesus Christ is her "guide, hope, and help". The spirit was super strong, testifying of Christ is my favorite thing to do.

Saturday we had a fantastic lesson with a woman who felt like Satan had power over her. We shared the Plan of salvation and taught her how she can receive help to overcome her problems with the saviors help, and how she has power to resist temptation. Also that she can try again and again and again because of christ, and he will always be there cheering her on and inviting her to return. It was one of the best lessons I've had on the mission so far. Later that day we went to a home that we set up a return appointment for whole tracting on Wednesday. They were super nice before, but we got to the door and a note said "DO NOT knock on our door. No religious groups or door to door salesmen"....weird....we knocked anyway of course but they didn't answer.

Sunday was exhausting. We had to go to 3 wards/ward councils. Our Sunday at church started at 7 am and ended at 4pm. We brought granola bars in our pockets for lunch. And RIGHT after church ended we had to drive down to my area for a lesson with someone we just met the day before. Then RIGHT after that we had another lesson with someone in another area, and RIGHT after that we had dinner. It was a packed day.

Monday was fun, we had a lesson with a girl at subway which was interesting but it went great. And that night we met with Mei and Jenny again and it went fantastic as always, we had it at a home of a member in our stake we found who speaks Chinese!

Fun stuff:
-we were teaching a lesson this week with a dude that has like 11 cats. In the middle of the lesson a cat took a dump right next to us and it smelled AWFUL
-raking leaves when it is WINDY is not fun. I make a pile, turn around and the pile is gone.
-we had 2 ward trunk or treats to go to, and I have a ward party Saturday too. At one of then they told us to judge the chili and pick a winner....we didn't know what we were doing and we didn't have time to eat all the chili. So we just picked a random number
-i met 2 ferrets named Claire and Julie
-I also met the ugliest chihuahua named scout, but he sat by me and was my budding during an entire lesson teaching the 10 commandments
-if you were/are a missionary you know what role playing is. Our mission has a goal to accomplish 100 min of role play a week. Well we did 180 min all in one day....

Spiritual thought: I was reading in Matthew a few days ago and I read one of my favorite scriptures, and quotes from Christ. In Matthew 9 Jesus is eating with his disciples and publicans and sinners come and sit with them. The Pharasies see this and start judging Jesus for allowing sinners to be around him. Jesus hears them talking and says "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick....For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Matthew 9:12-13). It is a lie if you feel that you arent worthy enough of Christ's help, there's no such thing as too far from Christ's light. His purpose is especially to help those who feel like they are lost and too far fallen. I taught a woman this last week who has a hard problem with alcohol addiction and she felt so discouraged because of how many times she has yielded to temptation. But we testified to her that her savior is still there cheering for her to return, and he understands how she feels and is there to help her. Jesus Christ is there for you no matter what you've done or where you are. Return to Him, he is calling your name. I know this because he has ALWAYS been there for me.

Pictures: picture I drew while weekly planning, me photobombing a picture our district leader was trying to take of our goals and plans, me and MEI at her baptism!
