Hello Brethren and sisterens,
Its been a crazy week and I don't have much time because there's people to teach and things to do.
BUT, some updates: We had about 20 missionaries return home this last week who were "high risk" (would have complications if they were to get sick). So that caused our mission to have a mini transfer pt. 4. Also Colorado is basically shut down now, but Wyoming and Nebraska are still doing fine. So all the missionaries in Colorado are ONLY working from their apartment. But as I've said before, this is going GREAT ITS FINE. The Lord's wisdom is in all of this, especially for His missionaries.
We've had a few meetings with missionaries across the mission (over zoom) with our mission president discussing things that are happening, and its been really fun to figure things out. We're actually, in some odd way, MORE connected as a mission. Because we are all trying to figure out what to do, we're spending more time communicating with each other and with President and Sister Palmer. The hardest thing is none of us spent enough time figuring out how to effectively using our devices before, because we liked doing missionary work the old fashion way! (knocking doors, talking to people on the street, etc.) So we didn't take the time to learn how to use our devices. But we are figuring it out!
We've had multiple lessons over this last week. Lots and lots of lessons with members, who are also stuck at home with nothing to do. Also with short video chat lessons, people seem to listen more intently (maybe because it's hard to hear, but hey it's a positive). Also we've made group chats with all the people we're teaching and have members in every single one. We're constantly talking back and forth through those, and don't let a day go by without sending at least one uplifting thought/picture/scripture. And when we have lessons, we just call the group chat and the members are involved. Lots of people throughout the mission are actually having MORE lessons each day than they used to. Still trying to figure things out, but I truly do see this hastening the work of salvation.
Our mission president shared this with the missionaries this last week, and I guess I'll make this my spiritual thought! "Do you remember the account of when the powerful Syrian army surrounded the city of Dothan in an attempt to capture the prophet Elisha to keep him from helping the Israelites in their battles? Elisha’s servant panicked at the sight of the armies. However, Elisha answered, “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them…and the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:16-17)." We need to OPEN OUR EYES. Right now the Lord is opening the eyes of us to see many ways we can do missionary work with the change in techniques and routine. And all of you can do the same, ask in Faith for the Lord to see His hand in all this, and you will. Most importantly we need to not allow these circumstances to act upon us, but we need to ACT. Don't fear, look at this with a different perspective, and keep ACTING in faith. And the obvious lesson to learn from this that brings a lot of hope. You are not alone. We're not hopeless. When you're on the Lord side, there is always more there to back you up than you can realize. Open your eyes and understand that and act accordingly. Love ya'll!

-we have train tracks near our apartment, and it's pretty fun to watch the trains to by. But this last week they had wind turbines from a factory nearby, and we thought it was pretty cool...probably not that cool to everyone else tbh...
-we found this caterpillar and named him Steve. (don't ask why I named it after my dad)
