HELLO

Transfers are tomorrow and big news, I'm headed down to Cheyenne again!! I'm actually going to be in a tripan with an Elder named Elder Fazar, and with Elder Halladay who I've been up here in Riverton with for the last 18 weeks. Elder Chinbaatar is staying in Riverton and is going to be a District Leader! So fun stuff is happening, I'm probably going to hit a year in the same city I started my mission in....also Ive never served in Colorado.

Last Tuesday was a good day. We gave this guy were teaching a chapel tour which was really fun. We were able to get a member to come with us and it was perfect.

The next day we spent trying to figure out what to do because it was raining and COLD all day. We ended up driving around and contacting a lot of people, and pulling over whenever we saw someone.

Thursday night was AMAZING. This lady in our ward is friends with this family who she wants to have the gospel in their life. She set up for them to come over for ice cream on Thursday and us to come over too. This family is amazing. They're super spiritual, all their kids have Bible names, this mother just graduated and became a nurse. The member introduced us to them and started crying saying how every time they meet and talk they end up crying and feeling the spirit and how she just wants them to listen to the missionaries because she knows this is what they need.....wow. Everyone started crying and I just said something really dumb and made everyone laugh. "let's meet more often and cry some more". Anyway! That was super cool, and this mother ended up sharing a story how wind makes trees stronger then we showed her a video called "spiritual whirlwinds" and it blew her mind.

Cool thing in Friday. We were walking around talking to everyone we saw and nobody was interested. We were on our way home and were pretty much there, but we saw this guy sitting in his car. Covered in scary tattoos, smoking, listening to scary music.....we were pretty much home we didn't have to talk to him. BUT we're not going to deny anybody the chance to hear the message of the restored gospel. So we walked up to him, ended up sharing a scripture, giving him a Book of mormon, and getting his address. He was the only person that day that was actually interested.

Saturday I spent with a great man! The former stake president of the Riverton Wyoming stake, President Lorimer, needed some help building something. So us and the other Elders in Riverton spent part of the day helping him out. They also fed us lunch at this little table in their yard and found out we were eating lunch at the same table President Hinckley, Monson, and others sat and ate. And when his wife came out with cookies he said "oh these are President Fausts favorite cookies". This man is amazing. The conversations we had with him were better than the service we did. Later that day we walked around and had some success. We saw this family we're teaching outside working in their yard and we offered to help and they let us help! We pulled weeds, and talked to them about Jesus for like an hour before we had to go to dinner it was great.

Sunday we stopped by this lady we've been trying to meet with for a while. She let us in and was a little intoxicated. But we were able to share some things with her, she started crying, and she marked a scripture we shared in her BOM. Later she called us crying saying thank for coming over.

Monday we had a miracle with a girl named miracle. A while ago a drunk guy yelled at us to come in and talk with him. Our plan was to stop by sometime and try to catch him while he wasn't drunk. Well he was drunk again....and let us in again. BUT his nieces Mia and Miracle were there and they totally sat and listened to our message. The lord works in mysterious ways, and because of this man we were able to start teaching these two girls!

Spiritual thought: There is a story in the Bible right after the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. There was a man who had a son which was possessed by a spirit. His disciples were unable to cast out the spirit. Christ came down and the father pleaded for Christ to help him. We are told that the boy had this demon since he was "of a child". Then the miracle is able to be performed when the father shows his faith and says "Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief". Christ charged the spirit to come out and to "enter no more into him". This was permanent, this demon which has been in this child for a long time was cast out permanently with the power of faith and the power of christ. Christ later also adds that "this kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting". We most likely don't have the same problem with being possessed by a demon. But we all do have our "demons". Things we struggle with, things we're tempted by, mistakes we've made. No matter how long you've had that demon, by the power of Christ it can be cast out never to return. It's difficult but it's possible. With the power of Christ's Atonement, faith, and prayer and fasting.

Fun stuff:
-it's been raining and cold all week I don't know what's happening
-I told someone that I've grown close to Jesus Christ by reading the book of mormon and he told me "no you haven't" and it was pretty funny I almost laughed
-I'm actually pretty sad that I'm going to be leaving Elder Chinbaatar again, my Mongolian son
-both my "sons" became district leaders this transfer!
