Hola amigos y familia,

This was an exciting week, a lot happened.

Last Tuesday morning we drove down to Fort Collins to go to the temple and it was amazing. The spiritual feelings and things I learn each time a go to the temple continue to build my testimony of the truthfulness of this church. Afterwards we went to canes because canes is also heaven on earth. The chose is usually canes or Cafe Rio because they are both in FOCO and nowhere else in the mission.

Wednesday was exciting. We were packed all day with meetings and we were on exchanges so somehow we figured out how to fit in eating at a China buffet together in the middle of our packed day. And we filled the font because it was Brian's baptism! The baptismal service went amazing and Elder Fazar baptized him on his last day in Cheyenne, so that was pretty cool. I've learned so much helping Brian get to this point and am SO grateful the Lord allowed me and trusted me and used me to be someone who could help Brian get on this path. Then that night we had to drive down to Colorado because we had a meeting on Thursday. So we drove down to Loveland and stayed with the Loveland zone leaders.

Thursday we woke up early because before the meeting we all went to the temple, probably because it was the mcmurrays last time before they went home. So we did all that, had the meeting, figured out how to be better missionaries, then we drove home. We left elder Fazar in Colorado because he had to be at the mission home at noon the next day and it didn't make sense to drive home then drive back. The trio is gone, now it's just me and Elder Halladay.

On Friday we were packed and had weekly planning and lots of stuff to do. But in the morning we had set a goal of having at least genuine conversation with someone we don't know. SO, we get a call from a sister who is sick and needed some stuff so we ran to Walmart to get her medicine and Gatorade and stuff. At Walmart we ran into this lady who needed help putting some water bottles into her cart, so we helped. And she started asking US who we were and what we were doing (which is awesome usually we have to mention who we are and offer our message before they ask). Anyway we had a good talk with her in the Walmart and the Lord blessed us with the 1 person we set a goal for. BUT he wouldn't have blessed us if we weren't willing to offer her help.

Sunday was perfect. Brian was confirmed and our lesson was about family and temple history work, which is Brian's next step! Also he met with the bishop and is getting the aaronic Priesthood next week and he is getting his temple recommend. Everything went perfect, brian is amazing. Also he gave us a hug after he was confirmed and it was pretty tight, he is super happy and it makes me happy. Also in our second ward this lady walks in with this family and we were pretty sure she wasn't a member. The member that she came in with came up to us and told us that early in the morning the phone in the hall rang and his wife answered and it was this girl who said she needed a ride to church and wanted to come! We talked to her and turns out that she was taught in rawlins and almost got baptized but things happened and she moved down to Cheyenne. So that was amazing!

Monday we had district leader meeting and it went great. We had no time to plan it and it was at 9am so in like 10-20 minutes me and Elder Halladay planned it out, BUT we both had the same idea of what to do. It went Bueno. Later that evening we had a lesson with that lady who showed up to church, Jamie. It was great, we met at the members home and she told us how much she wants to be baptized. We also read Alma 7 which is one of my favorite chapters and she started crying and it was just what she needed. Twas perfect, it's been a good week.

Fun stuff:
-someone in our ward got called the the Arizona Gilbert mission! Me and Elder Halladay are both from Gilbert and we were super excited for him and got him pumped. If you in Gilbert ever meet an Elder Groesbeck from Cheyenne, he's the guy
-on Wednesday when we were filling up the font, SO naturally we went to the gym to play a little basketball. The stake president was there and must've heard so he looked in and saw us...then asked for a ball and started shooting with us haha
-any week is a good week when you go to the temple twice when you haven't been in months
-on Monday President and Sister McMurray officially left and President and Sister Palmer are in! Super weird because I haven't met them yet, it doesn't even seem real

Spiritual thought: So we've been focusing a lot of faith in our zone, so at DLM this last we we taught about works. The Bible teaches us that faith without works is dead. Also christ performed every miracle by someone's faith and it always required something of someone. When He fed the multitude with loaves and fishes. He could've done it without the small amount of food given to Him, but he took it and because of the faith and works was able to perform the miracle. When Christ did one of His most amazing miracles, raising Lazarus from the dead, he required works. He asked where Lazarus was buried, although he could've known by Himself. He asked the stone to be removed, even though he could've done that Himself. And when Lazarus came out he asked that they remove the bandages and stuff from his face. God performs miracles, but he won't give us bread when we are standing next to a wheat field. When we do all that we can do, and our faith stays there, God's hand enters out lives and miracles happen. It happened for Brian who got baptized last Wednesday. We did all we could, then God did something for Brian that we couldn't do. Miracles happen when we put forth our effort and show our faith and truly believe.
